Words and Photography by Hannah Zisman
Two weekends a year, parasoles and pearls are the norm as New Yorkers gather on a small piece of land known as Governors Island for the official Jazz Age Lawn Party. With a vintage swimsuit contest, several live performances, and the fanciest picnic spreads you've ever seen, it feels as if the world has traveled back in time to the 1920's (minus the unfortunate appearance of selfie sticks.)
Here's a sneak peak of some of the street style photos I took. More to come in the upcoming 2015 edition of Here I Am which will cover everything we love about the city.
