As we grow older, food loses it’s inherent tactility. Playing with food is relegated to the very young and instead we may admire a dish’s beauty only to pierce it with a fork.
That precious time between plate and mouth is disregarded - the feeling of spaghetti squishing through fingers becomes a faded memory. Fruit Face aims to remind us of food’s long forgotten pleasures. To take us back to a time when talking to a best friend for ten minutes on a banana phone was deemed a worthy activity and sucking raspberries off of our fingertips was in fact, the only way to eat them.
